PDKI Warns of Possible Iranian and Iraqi Attack on its Bases
PDKI’s issued a statement on a possible attack by Iraqi Shia militias backed by Iranian terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps against PDKI’s base in KoyaSanjaq.
In the statement PDKI’s head of Foreign Relations Loghman H. Ahmedi said:
Iraq’s army and its Shia militias, backed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, have attacked Iraqi Kurdistan and taken over several Kurdish cities.
The objective of the Iraqi army was officially to enter the so called disputed regions, but now these forces are moving toward the heartland of the Kurdistan Region.
These forces have now been deployed to the vicinity of one of PDKI’s bases outside the city of Koya Sanjaq.
In the event of Iranian and Iraqi aggression against our bases or against the civilian population our Peshmerga Forces will defend the civilian population and our bases.
We ask the international community and all our friends around the world to pay attention to this issue and put pressure on all involved actors to stop this military aggression.
