Iran carried out a terrorist attack against the PDKI
A PDKI peshmerga, Salah Rahmani, and his son, Sabah Rahmani, were severely injured in a car bomb in a suburb to Hawler (Erbil), the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan.
Salah Rahmani, a Peshmerga commander, had prior to today’s terrorist attack received several threats from Iran’s notorious intelligence agency.
Sabah Rahmani, also a member of PDKI, lost both his legs in the Iranian terrorist attack and is in a critical condition.
In the 1990s, Iranian agents assassinated approximately 500 members of the Iranian-Kurdish opposition groups based in Iraqi Kurdistan. Most of the victims were members of PDKI.
The PDKI’s Asaysh Forces, tasked with internal security, have increased their capacity in counter-terrorism and have foiled numerous terrorist attacks by the Iranian regime. Iran made several attempts to carry out terrorist attacks against PDKI’s 16th Congress, but all such attempts were countered by the party’s Asaysh Forces.
