In a recent interview with Zagros Post, Loghman H. Ahmedi, the PDKI\u2019s Head of Foreign Relations, discussed the new wave of executions of Kurdish political prisoners, the international community\u2019s response, the cooperation between the non-Persian nations of Iran and armed struggle in Iranian Kurdistan.<\/p>\n
Regarding the recent executions of Kurdish political prisoners and the international communities response to these executions Ahmedi underlined that \u201cwhenever the Islamic Republic of Iran negotiates with the international community, the regime believes that it can act as it whishes\u2019 against dissidents inside Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe regime believes that the international community will keep silent regarding human rights violations as long as the possibility of a deal on issues like Iran\u2019s nuclear program is on the table. The recent executions of Kurdish and Baloch political prisoners can be seen within this context,\u201d Ahmedi added.<\/p>\n
Regarding the cooperation between the non-Persian nations of Iran and the Kurdish political parties role in strengthening this cooperation, Ahmedi underlined that organizations representing the different non-Persian nations in Iran have cooperated for several years now.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeveral political parties representing the non-Persian nations of Iran are working very closely together in the Congress of Nationalities for a Federal Iran. These nations interests and future are interlinked, and we as Kurdish political parties, due to our long history of struggle, need to continue to be at the forefront in the struggle against the Islamic Republic and it is important that we share our experience and know-how with the other nations,\u201d Ahmedi said in the interview.<\/p>\n
Regarding the issue of armed struggle against the Islamic Republic, Ahmedi stressed that the theocratic regime in Iran does not allow any form of peaceful dissent and uses brutal violence to crack down on Kurdish activists.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Kurdish liberation movement needs to use all methods at its disposal in its struggle for freedom. The Islamic Republic of Iran does not allow any form of peaceful or civilian dissent, hence armed struggle cannot be ruled out,\u201d Ahmedi added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
