In a statement, the Central Command of Kurdistan\u2019s Peshmerga Forces revealed that Iran used white phosphorus artillery munitions in yesterday\u2019s attack on peshmerga bases located in the border region between eastern (Iranian) and southern (Iraqi) Kurdistan.<\/p>\n
Last time Iran used white phosphorus artillery munitions against Peshmerga bases was in the summer of 2016.<\/p>\n
Iran used chemical weapons against Peshmerga as well as civilians on several occasions in the 1980s. At the time, PDKI informed public opinion and concerned international organizations about Iran\u2019s use of chemical weapons against Peshmerga.<\/p>\n
In yesterday\u2019s shelling of Peshmerga bases, Rahim Rostam Dastan and Idris Derwishi, two brave Peshmerga, were martyred.<\/p>\n
