On Thursday, February 4th 2021, a court in Antwerp, in Belgium sentenced Assadollah Asadi to 20 years in prison for his role in plotting a terrorist attack in 2018.<\/p>\n
Asadi is an Iranian terrorist who was working as a diplomat at the Iranian embassy in Vienna, Austria. He planned to carry out a terrorist attack against a meeting of the People\u2019s Mujahedin Organization of Iran in Paris, France.<\/p>\n
Three other defendants in this case also revived prison sentences. Nasimeh Naami 18 years, Amir Saadouni 15 years, and Mehrdad Arefani 17 years. Meanwhile, the judge in this case has agreed to the request of the prosecutor to revoke their Belgian citizenship.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that since the beginning of its reign, the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken every action to suppress its opponents and spread terrorism inside and outside Iran and has continued the physical elimination of its opponents and dissidents.<\/p>\n
The liberation movement of Kurdistan along with the liberation movement in various parts of Iran has always been a victim of the Islamic Republic of Iran\u2019s terrorism. Some examples of terrorist acts of this regime against the people of Kurdistan include bombing political parties, launching missiles at political parties head quarters and the assassination of their leaders and cadres abroad.<\/p>\n
The Cooperation Center of Iranian Kurdistan Parties strongly condemns the terrorist acts of the Islamic Republic of Iran and calls for a serious and impartial investigation far from the political and economic interests of countries and international community, into the numerous cases of assassination of opponents of this regime in the past, present and future.<\/p>\n
In our opinion, raising awareness, unity and cooperation among more political parties and activists in relation to thwarting the terrorist acts of the Islamic Republic of Iran can hinder the killing machine and assassination of the Islamic Republic.<\/p>\n
