Call to Action from the Council of Political Prisoners of East Kurdistan and the Human Rights Center for East Kurdistan
The Council of Political Prisoners of East Kurdistan and the Human Rights Center for East Kurdistan have issued a statement to public opinion and international human rights organizations, warning that the lives of detainees from recent Iranian protests are in grave danger.
They assert that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime, continuing its systematic repression of civil uprisings, may carry out mass killings of tens of thousands of detainees in the coming days. The statement emphasizes that the regime’s actions are part of a broader plan of oppression designed to intimidate society and maintain its absolute control.
The organizations call on the international community to apply pressure, establish an independent fact-finding committee, and avoid remaining silent, as inaction would enable further crimes against the peoples of Iran.
