PDKI Delegation Visits Vienna Parliament Member
On Monday, November 10, 2025, a PDKI delegation consisting of Mr. Mohammed Faqe Ali and Mr. Arif Gharibi, a member of the party’s Austrian committee, visited Ms. Şafak Akçay, a member of the Vienna City Parliament and spokesperson for minority and integration affairs for the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ).
During the meeting, Mr. Faqe Ali provided an overview of the PDKI’s history and struggle. He emphasized that the PDKI and the SPÖ share a common ideological foundation and are both members of the Socialist International.
The discussion also touched upon the human rights situation in Iran, particularly in Eastern Kurdistan. Ms. Akçay proposed discussing this topic further with the Vienna Parliament’s Human Rights Committee at a future meeting.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Akçay expressed her appreciation for the visit and voiced her hope for stronger future cooperation, particularly between the international relations departments of both parties.
