PDKI leader urges Kurds to vote as FIFA shortlists Zakho SC fans for inspiring act

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) recognized the Zakho SC supporters for their initiative of throwing teddy bears onto the pitch for children affected by cancer as one of three finalists for the FIFA Fan Award. The award honors the most inspiring and meaningful fan moments around the world.
Mustafa Hijri, Secretary-General of the PDKI, expressed his support for the club and urged the people of Kurdistan, especially the youth, to vote for Zakho SC’s fans on FIFA’s Fan Award page within the next two days before voting closes.
Hijri added, “The Kurdish people, with their rich culture, generosity, and deep respect for humanitarian values, have always been a symbol of dignity and compassion. Voting for this initiative is a national duty.”
