PDKI Representative Meets Finnish MPs
On Wednesday, 26 November 2025, Shehin Zadahmad, the PDKI representative to Finland, held an official meeting with Mr. Johan Kvarnström, a Finnish Member of Parliament.
The meeting focused on efforts to reopen and reactivate the Kurdish Committee within the Finnish Parliament, with the aim of strengthening dialogue and cooperation on matters relating to the Kurdish community. The discussions also addressed several important topics concerning Kurdistan and the Kurdish diaspora.
Acknowledging the importance of these issues, MP Kvarnström invited two other Finnish parliamentarians — Matias Mäkynen of the Social Democratic Party and Peter Östman of the Christian Democrats — to join the meeting.
All three MPs welcomed the proposals and requests presented by the PDKI representative. They expressed their readiness to cooperate and provide support on related matters, particularly the initiative to reactivate the Kurdish Committee in the Finnish Parliament.
