PDKI Representative Meets UK MP Blackman
On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Razgar Alani, the PDKI representative to the UK, met with MP Bob Blackman, a Conservative Member of Parliament known for consistently supporting I pro-democracy movements in Iran and speaking out against the oppressive policies of the Iranian regime.
During the meeting, Mr Alani highlighted recent protests in Iran, the arrests and harassment of pro-democracy activists, and the growing militarization of Kurdistan. He also addressed the overall dire situation of the peoples of Iran and the specific challenges faced by Kurds in the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing the importance of dialogue center of Kurdish parties from Eastern Kurdistan.
Mr Alani shared the PDKI’s vision for a post-regime Iran, including its proposed federal system, and requested that efforts be made to prevent the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from being recognized as a legitimate entity by the UK, given its designation as a terrorist organization.
Mr Blackman expressed his continued support for the pro-democracy movement and reaffirmed his solidarity with the peoples of Iran.
