PDKI Urges the People of Kurdistan to Support Demonstrators in Baneh

Residents of the Kurdish city of Bane staged a peaceful demonstration today, September 5, 2017, to condemn the killing of Kurdish Kolbars (porters) by Iranian paramilitary forces.
In a statement, PDKI’s leadership calls on people in other Kurdish cities to support the people of Baneh.
Iran responded to the peaceful demonstration with brutal violence. The Iranian Islamist regime deployed its terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to crush the peaceful demonstration and several Kurdish demonstrators were shot and severely injured and an unknown number of people were arrested.
In the statement, PDKI underlines that Iran has during the past decades systematically and on a daily basis used violence against the Kurdish population. Moreover the Islamist regime in Iran systematically discriminates against the Kurdish nation and denies people in Kurdistan proper labor opportunities; hence, people are forced to work as porters (Kolbars) in order to survive.
It is terrible enough to be forced to carry heavy loads of product on your back crossing mountainous regions, but the fact that Iran kills tens of Kurdish Kolbars every year makes the situation unbearable for the people of Kurdistan.
